Stamp sets are marked as "new mounted", "new unmounted", or "used".  All used sets are sold as is and may be well loved with ink on the wood.  If you don't mind ink on your wood, these sets are fine otherwise.  If you do not like ink on your wood, try to find a new set as some of the sets I do have both new and used.
