Help Wanted!

Help Wanted for the Perfect Summer Job

Imagine an ad that reads like this: Wanted – someone who wants to make their own hours, determine their own income, and work around their family and other activities while working with great people and having fun helping them to create their own handmade cards and scrapbooks (and sometimes while enjoying snacks!). This candidate will receive all the free training and support that they need, including lots of creative inspiration. No experience necessary. All applicants will be accepted.

Wow! What kind of job is that you might ask? Well, that’s the job of a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. And it’s the perfect summer job, too! Maybe you just want something fun to keep you going during the summer, or maybe you would like to pay down debt, have the money for a fun vacation, or be able to pay cash for the back to school supplies.

Here are some things to consider:

ü   Stampin’ Up! offers a low-cost Starter Kit that is an amazing value. It has everything that you need to get started, including stamping supplies, business supplies, and project ideas.  And right now and until July 31st, Stampin' Up! is offering a special $99 Starter Kit!

ü   You will get all kinds of training and support. Stampin’ Up! offers all kinds of training and support to help you build a successful and profitable business. You will receive a monthly Stampin’ Success magazine (full of articles, projects, and business tips), you will have access to online product video trainings as well as thousands of card, scrapbook, and project samples, and you will also have your upline for additional training and support.

ü   There is no obligation. If you purchase the Starter Kit and decide not to hold a single workshop – that’s okay! The products and supplies are yours to keep and enjoy.

So consider getting yourself the perfect summer job as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. I am always accepting applications, so contact me today! (And if you would like more information before contacting me, please visit my website at www.stampinwithjacque.stampinup.net.)

Creating Pretty Cards – Card Challenge #1!

I am so excited to announce to all of you that in addition to the great 3D projects that Craft Project Central has for you each month, they will be now be hosting a monthly card challenge – Creating Pretty Cards!!  Each month they will post a card challenge sketch, and in addition, they'll provide you with a Sketch Mini Tutorial!!  This mini tutorial will tell you how the inspiration card (using the sketch) was created, supplies used, and basic measurements!!

Each week their project designers will pick their top two favorites.  At the end of the month the designers will vote on a favorite (out of the eight), and the winner will receive a $50 Stampin' Up! shopping spree!!

Here is the card that I created with the sketch for challenge #1!

It was so simple and easy and I love the way the layout and measurements were provided for me!!

I hope you'll check out the monthly sketch and submit your creations, not only for a chance to win some stamping goodies, but to share your creations and check out what others have created too!

*Making a Difference

Stampin' Up!'s mission statement, called its Statement of the Heart, reads: "To love what we do and share what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments . . . in this we make a difference."

To help fulfill this statement, Stampin' Up! launched its Making a Difference program in 2003. This program facilitates corporate giving and promotes service among demonstrators and employees.

Through the Making a Difference program, Stampin' Up! partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). Each year, the company donates $100,000 to the organization. In addition, we design an exclusive stamp set to promote the partnership with RMHC, and donate a portion of the proceeds from the each sale of that set. To date, more than $95,000 has been donated from RMHC stamp set sales.

Stampin' Up!'s demonstrators are also encouraged to volunteer their time teaching local Ronald McDonald House guests the creative art of rubber stamping through the Making a Difference program. Demonstrators also create cards at training events which are donated to Ronald McDonald Houses. Those staying at the Houses then use the cards to keep in touch with loved ones while they are away from home.

In addition to contributing to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, Stampin' Up! donated $1.1 million to the September 11th Disaster Relief Fund from proceeds of exclusive stamp set sales, and more than $82,000 to the Huntsman Cancer Institute for breast cancer research. To support the Asian tsunami disaster relief effort, Stampin' Up! donated more than $575,000 to Save the Children. It has also donated substantial funds for the fight against heart disease, and to help those affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in the southern United States.
