We made Mother's Day pencil holders, embellished with flowers!

One flower had an I {heart} U Mom circle in the middle and the other had a picture of the child.

I had a bunch of card stock pieces punched out and I gave a set to each student.  I told asked them to figure out what they thought we were going to make with the pieces.  Here are a couple picture of what some of the kids came up with from Craig's class:

Jacie's teacher even tried to figure out what it was going to be!

And this is what we ended up making.  Little Easter goodie bag toppers.  The kids loved making them, almost as much as knowing that they would get to eat the candy later!

Here is Craig's class with their finished products.  Unfortunately Craig went home early because he was sick, so he wasn't even there to enjoy the project!!

I went to Craig's class first.  The kids were so good!  Everyone brought in a picture and we made a little Christmas card for them to give to their parents.  They then all wrote a Christmas note and drew pictures inside!

Depending on the age of the kids, they can run the pieces through the Big Shot and glue them together all by themselves.  If they are too young, run the pieces through, give them the clothes and let them do the rest.

I am doing a project similar to this for my niece's kindergarten class and my nephew's third grade class.  I'm putting some of the little pieces together before hand, e.g. the buckle on Santa's belt, the holly and berries on the hat, but I'm letting the kids to the rest. (I'll have all the pieces to give them.)   I'll post that project after we do it in the classes (if I survive 40 kids!).

BTW, the eyes, nose, mouth, and buttons on Santa's jacket are big card stock pieces attached to the back of the bear to show through the holes, versus little pieces on top.  Much easier!!

Jacie had a G-Force cake since she didn’t want Princess and they didn’t have Pokemon or Bakugan!

Here is a sample of the goodie bags that I made for each of the kids.  I used the cupcake wheel and a Chocolate Chip ink cartridge for the bags and the Crazy for Cupcakes and Taffy Alphabet stamp sets for the names.

I did give her the Sweet Treats birthday card that I posted a couple weeks ago and she wanted to break open the sweet treat cup to get at the sprinkles as soon as she opened the card!
