Valentine Defined!

Okay, we're only three days into the new Occasions Mini Catalog and I couldn't wait to start using some of my new stamping goodies! This week over on my Sisters in Stamping blog, we're focusing on Valentine's Day cards, so I was happy to have a reason to start thinking about and making some Valentines!

According to Hallmark.com, for greeting cards, Valentine's Day is the second most important card-giving holiday, next to Christmas, with about 188 million valentines given worldwide. Their site also reveals that more than half of the United States population celebrates Valentine's Day by purchasing a greeting card.

But we wouldn't be caught dead buying Valentines cards, now would we!?!? No way, we only send handmade Valentines! After nine years with Stampin' Up! (Oh I forgot to tell you that I celebrated my nine year anniversary on December 19th!!), if I sent anyone a store bought card, they would think I was mad at them!!

Valentine Project With Jacie’s Class!

A couple weeks ago (sorry I wasn't able to post this sooner…life got in the way!), I did a Valentines Day project with Jacie's class. The kids made a card in the shape of a heart, which they decorated with a bunch of smaller hearts and wrote a note to their parents inside. The kids are so cute and I love seeing their creativity! The heart folded up and had a belly band around it. Here are some pictures of the kids creating their little hearts out! Enjoy!
