Archive for August, 2012:
This pretty portfolio filled with cards, envelopes, and separate sentiments is a great gift. The card sentiments (for various occasions) are kept in a little drawer inside the portfolio and can be quickly added to a card when you need one. Instructions include variations on how the little drawer can be used if you choose to put the sentiments on the cards as you make them and don't need the drawer for the sentiments. This project makes a great teacher gift and is a fun class, club or camp project!
To get the instructions for this pretty project designed by Kris, just head over to Craft Project Central, subscribe to August and meet one of the bonus project requirements of subscribing to two or more months in a row, putting the Craft Project Central badge on your blog, or referring a friend and when they subscribe, letting them know!
This unique and beautiful box is sure to impress! The sizeable box will hold lots of little treats or small gifts. Change up the papers for any occasion or add a handle to the sides to make a special basket! The accompanying card coordinates purrrrfectly!!
Happy Friday! It's been a long week as I was in Las Vegas for a trade show for my non-stamping job. It was a good trip and the weather wasn't too hot, but I'm happy to be back in Hawaii!
Today I'd like to share with you a card that I made using the Field Flowers stamp set. I also used two sizes of the Labels Collection Framelits, sponged the smaller size, and then layered them.
The embossed background was done using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. Finally, and I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but I sprayed the card with Vanilla Smooch Spritz to give it a soft shimmery finish.
Be sure to check out what my stamping sister's created this week over on our Sister's in Stamping blog. Thanks so much, as always, for stopping by! I hope you have a fun stamping weekend!
I know it's just the end of August, but we all know how quickly the holidays seem to creep up on us! At Craft Project Central, they'd like to help you get a jump start on your holiday project making fun! This project is perfect for those times when you want to give a sweet treat that's wrapped in the colors of the Fall season, and also celebrates the fun of Halloween. Best of all, this is a relatively quick project to make, so you'll definitely want to make more than one!
Every once in a while, you just need a little gift bag to give a gift in, whether it be a teacher, co-worker, neighbor, or friend. Make someone feel extra special by giving them a gift in this beautiful-handmade gift bag! The coordinating tag and gift card add an extra special touch and the elegant bag made from embossed vellum is sure to impress. This project is also great for a quick and easy class or club project!
It's back to school time! Here is a perfect gift ensemble for the kids' teachers! The ensemble includes a clipboard, matching pencil box and a set of cards! Make several sets and give them as gifts to not only the teachers, but co-workers, friends, etc. and be sure to keep a set for yourself!
Happy Friday! I can't believe that it's already mid-August! This year is just flying by! I must be having fun! (I am!).
I hope that you've had a chance to check out the new Holiday Seasonal Collection Mini Catalog that just went live on August 1st! I love the holiday's and always eagerly await the annual Holiday Catalog! Every year I feel is better than the last, and this year is no exception!! So many great new stamp sets and accessories! I can't wait to get started on my holiday projects!!!
One new thing in this catalog are some product bundles! Stamp set and Framelits dies bundles to be specific and the bundles saves us money! Even better, right! I've always loved it when stamp sets have matching punches, well now several of the sets have matching Framelits as well!! Yay!
This cute stamp set is called Perfectly Preserved and can be found on page 29 of the Holiday Mini and it has a matching Framelits set called Cannery Set on the same page. You can purchase the two separately, or as a bundle and save 15%!!
This week over on my Sisters in Stamping blog we're sharing some of our favorite items from the new Holiday Mini Catalog. Hope over there and see my creative stamping sisters' favorites!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a fun stamping weekend!
This spectacular set of projects would be a perfect and uplifting gift for a special friend! The covered notepad and pen set is not only a cheerful gift, but a useful one as well! The slider gift box can be filled with a special treat and the matching card completes the set!
Let a friend or family member know how special they are by giving them this wreath and coordinating card! The wreath and card would also make a great housewarming gift or birthday gift. The project features the new Comfort Cafe Designer Fabric and Designer Series Paper, along with the pretty Summer Silhouette stamp set. The set would make a great project for a house decor class too!
I know that I've mentioned this before, but I have such a hard time designing "masculine" cards! I love flowers, bling, and pretty, and tend to make all of my cards along those lines. But I frequently get asked for masculine cards, so I always keep my eyes alert for stamp sets that I think would make good masculine cards. When I saw the Good Sport set in the new catalog, I immediately thought it would fit this bill, but I also think it's a good set for making cards for both genders. My niece, for example, that plays soccer would like this card too.
And depending on the team colors (of the person you're making the card for), you can change the outline color in the starts and for the greeting stamped inside the banner. I used Lucky Limeade as an accent color for this card and also added a little Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the wings. With the Celebrate greeting, this card could either be given as a birthday card to a soccer player, or as a congratulations for winning a soccer game, or tournament.
I also punched the soccer ball out and popped it up with a Stampin' Dimensional for some depth. In addition to the soccer ball, the set also has a football, baseball, and and basketball! Over on my Sisters in Stamping blog this week we're sharing masculine cards. Head over there to see what my creative stamping sisters designed and for more inspiration!
As always, thanks so much for stopping by to visit! I hope you have a great weekend!
