Cookie Can

If you’ve ever been to my house, you know I have some really high ceilings.  Well a couple of my light bulbs burned out, and my eight foot ladder was to short so a couple of my neighbors brought over a really tall ladder (I don’t know how tall it was, but it was tall!), and changed my light bulbs for me.  Now we can see again to stamp!!

I made them each some cookies and delivered them in this little cannister that I decorated using the Good Morning Sunshine Designer Series Paper and the Beautiful Butterlies and Top Note Big Shot dies!  Of course I saved myself a couple cookies and think I’ll go have one right now!!

June 17 Retiring Sets Stamp-A-Stack

I’m always so excited when we are getting a new catalog, but getting a new catalog means that some sets must retire in order to make room for some new sets!  I just had to use a couple of my retiring sets, one last time.  Here are the cards that we made at my "retiring sets" Stamp-A-Stack!  Enjoy!

The card uses the Big Birthday Candle stamp set and the also retiring Rainbow Sherbet Designer Series Paper.

This card uses the Big Bold Birthday stamp set and the also retiring Sweet Always Designer Series Paper.

This card uses the Big Flowers stamp set and the also retiring Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss colors.  I used a lot of "Big" sets?!

This card uses one of my favorite two step stamping sets, Heartfelt Thanks.

This card uses the Independence Day stamp set.

You have until June 30th to purchase these sets, Designer Series Papers, and retiring In Colors.  Check out the Last Chance list under my Specials page if you haven’t already!  Call or email me if you would like to place an order!

Simply Scrappin’ Petal Party Cards

A couple weeks back, I did a Simply Scrappin’ Petal Party Class.  In the class, everyone made a complete 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" scrapbook using the Petal Party Simply Scrappin’ Kit.  We had some materials left over from the kit, so everyone got to make the following bonus cards.  Enjoy!

Card uses So Saffron and Pixie Pink card stock.  Also used the Thank You Kindly stamp set.  The self-adhesive die cuts from the Simply Scrappin’ Kit are wonderful and so easy to use!

To order the Petal Party Simply Scrappin’ Kit or any other Stampin’ Up! goodies, please feel free to call or email me!

June 5th Group Meeting Swaps and Project

Our June Pacific Stampers group meeting was as fun as ever!  We have such a great group of talented and fun gals!  We had some great swaps (not as many as usual as many gals were busy with end of the school year activities) and another fabulous project.  Enjoy!

Card was made by Brenda Ballesteros.

Card made by Jane Nishiguchi.

Card made by Michelle Ueligitone.

Card made by Naoko Page.

Here is the darling project that we made.  It’s a little coaster recipe book!  Our fantastic project designer was Shelby Nakama.
Thanks Shelby for the fun and cute recipe book!!

Here is the cover for the recipe book.  Used the Crop-A-Dile to punch the holes for the metal rings.
The rings are big enough that more pages can be added later!

Even though I not much of a cook (or baker), I’ll have to try a couple of these recipes out!
This one is for Basic Cheesecake!  We used the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set for this one.

Chinese Chick Salad Dressing.  We used the Park Avenue Patterns stamp set, and I love the cute
Flower Fusion felt  flower and the jumbo brad!

This one sounds yummy!  Crab Rangoon!  Used the Just Beachy stamp set from the Occasions Mini.

Dip-It Chicken!  We used the Darling Dots stamp set for this one.  This set retires the end of June!

Simple Pasta Dish.  This is one that I think I can do!
We used the Scene in a Garden stamp set and Watercolor Crayons for this one!

If you would like information on ordering any of the supplies used to make these cards and project, or if you would like information on joining my group, please feel free to call or email me!

May 31st Scrap Camp

Well my group, The Pacific Stampers, and I held our very first Scrap Camp!  Unlike our regular Stamp Camps, where we make 3-D projects, at this one everyone got to complete an entire 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" Scrap Book!  (You can see the completed scrap book under the scrapbooking catagory.

The day was a big success and everyone loved their completed album.  In addition, we donated $5 from every registration to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawaii.  So the event while being fun, was also for a very wonderful cause .

Here are some pictures from the day:

Happy Scrappers Kehau, Nicole, Chalette, and Wendy.

Happy Scrappers Paula, Kristin, Faith and Joni

Happy Scrappers Linda, Andrea, Jan, and Faith.

Happy Scrappers, Gayle, Blanche, Sonya, and Jenn.

Happy Scrappers Amy, Kailani, Sydney, and Sheryl.

Happy Scrappers Bess and Kathy.

Happy Scrappers Kelly and Jayne.

Happy Scrappers Sherry and Deb.

Happy Scrappers Marce and Theresa.

Happy Scrappers Mav and Pam.

Since this camp was for a special event, Ronald McDonald House Charities, we received some donations that we used as door and raffle prizes.  We received four gift cards from the store In My Closet, four gift certificates from Blue Water Grill and three gift cards from The Alley.  A big thank you to these merchants!

Kristin was a happy door prize winner of an In My Closet gift card!

Lisa was a happy door prize winner of an In My Closet gift card!

Marce was a happy door prize winner of an In My Closet gift card!

We had some great raffle prizes that included wonderful stamping products, and also The Alley gift cards and Blue Water Grill gift certificates!  Raffle prizes had a value of over $100!

Kehau was the happy winner of the first raffle prize!

Paula was a happy winner of another raffle prize!

Kailani was a happy winner of another great raffle prize!

Each camp we have a card contest.  Guests can make one or more cards using Stampin’ Up! products only.  The maker of the card is anonomyous and everyone votes on their favorite card.  The winner of the contest gets a prize.

Here is Andrea with her winning card (the card on the right).  Both cards that she entered were very nice!

In addition to the great stamping, door and raffle prizes, we also have a demonstrator who demonstrates either products or techniques.  At this camp Joni demonstrated tools.  She demonstrated the Circle Cutter, the Crop-A-Dile, the Stamp-a-ma-jig, and the Color Spritzer Tool.  She is a teacher so you can image how fun and informative her demonstrations are!!

We had a very fun day and although I tried to get pictures of everyone and everything, they didn’t all turn out.  As you can see by some of the pictures I did post, I’m a better stamper than photographer, but I’ll keep working on it!

Our next camp is Sunday, June 28th.  The registration deadline is Friday, June 12th.  Call or email to register as you won’t want to miss this fun event!  And if you can’t attend that day, we also have project packets available for $10 (plus shipping if the packets needs to be mailed), which includes materials to make four projects and includes color instructions (stamps, inks, and adhesive are not included).  Hope to see you at Summer Stamp Camp!!
